Teresa "Terry" Alvarez, 73, of Las Cruces, New Mexico passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Terry was born in Mesilla, NM on February 16, 1951 to Erminda Aguilar. Terry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Terry married the love of her life, Henry Alvarez, whom she spent 52 happy years with before Henry's passin...
Teresa "Terry" Alvarez, 73, of Las Cruces, New Mexico passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Terry was born in Mesilla, NM on February 16, 1951 to Erminda Aguilar. Terry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Terry married the love of her life, Henry Alvarez, whom she spent 52 happy years with before Henry's passing in 2021. Everyone will remember Terry for her neverending love for her family, as a diehard Washington Redskins fan, a Bingo lover, and a Vegas vacationer.
Terry is survived by her children. Three Daughters and one Son. Roberta (husband Geronimo) of Ocate, NM, Christine (husband Blu), Henry (wife Janelle) of Las Cruces, NM, and Maurice (partner Corey) of Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by many grandchildren, Isaac Alvarez, Andrea Hannah (husband Robert), Tiffani Alvarez, Audrielle Trujillo (husband Daniel), Andrew Alvarez, and Amelia Trevino. Great Grandchildren, Aubree and Abraham Alvarez.
A prayer vigil will be held on Friday June 14, 2024 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S Espina Street in Las Cruces. Visitation will begin 10:30 A.M. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 11:00 A.M. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. Burial will take place following mass at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Henry Alvarez, Isaac Alvarez, Blu Riedemann, Andrew Alvarez, Corey Trevino and Mark Aguilar. Honorary pallbearer Abraham Alvarez.
