Thomas Casey

Thomas George Casey age 79 passed away on May 31st, 2021 in Las Cruces , NM and joined his beloved wife Gale. Tom was born on May 12, 1942 in Irvington, NJ to Thomas Joseph Casey and Lillian Margaret Casey. Tom grew up enjoying sports and being at the ocean. Upon graduation Tom joined the United States Army and served honorably until 1974. Following his service, Tom married his life long love, Gale Lynn Casey on June 21st, 1974. Tom and Gale were married for 45 years. After moving to Las Cruces in 1977, Tom held a number of management positions across the business enterprise to include managing Casitas de Las Cruces Apartments with Gale for 40 years. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a gentle kind man. He loved traveling, playing golf, fishing, watching the horses run, and helping others. Tom was preceded in death by his father Thomas Joseph Casey, his mother Lillian Margaret Casey, his uncle George Baader, his grandson Jonathan P Cervoni, and his love, Gale Lynn Casey. He is survived by his son Jack Cervoni and his wife Debbie Cervoni, his daughter Elaine Cervoni and her life partner Alex Telles, and his daughter Colleen Casey Carper and husband Nathaniel Carper, and his two grandsons, Thomas and Maxwell Carper. A joint memorial service for both Tom and Gale Casey will be held on Friday, July 2 at 3:00 PM at Getz funeral home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave., Las Cruces, NM where friends and family can celebrate their beautiful lives together and pay final respects. Following the ceremony we invite close friends and family to join us at 1404 Carol Ann Ct for refreshments. We ask to please respect social distancing at this time.
