Thomas Fierro Vasquez, 71 of Las Cruces, NM, died Sunday Dec. 28, 2008. He was born Nov. 1, 1937 in Loving, NM to Maximiano and Ester Vasquez. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably. Thomas worked in the Real Estate Industry. If you couldn't find Thomas at an open house, he would be in his garden or playing his guitar for family and friends. Through his guitar Thomas installed a passion of music in his children who are all avid musicians. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Thomas is survived by his three children Laurie Harrison and husband Richard of San Marcos, CA., Donna McDonald of Atlanta, GA and Greg Vasquez and wife Leah of San Marcos, CA. Grandchildren, Noah Thomas, Corie, Kelli, Brad and Megan and Great-grandchild Isaac. Also by two Brothers, a Sister and many Nieces and Nephews. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Fierro officiating. The US Air Force will provide military honors.
