Thomas P. Massad Jr., 47 of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2009 after a long fight with CIDP. He was born April 30, 1961 in Gloversville, NY to Thomas P. Thomas P. Massad Jr., 47 of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2009 after a long fight with CIDP. He was born April 30, 1961 in Gloversville, NY to Thomas P. Massad Sr. and Janice Massad. He had been a member of The Las Cruces Police Department until his illness disabled him in December 2003. Despite the fact he had become completely dependent on a ventilator and paralyzed, he was always happy and willing to fight the disease with everything he had. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Brenda Massad, their sons, Thomas P. Massad III and Michael Massad, his parents, Thomas P. Massad Sr. and Janice Massad, his brothers, Randy Massad and Ben Massad, sister, Amy Jernigan. Tom will be deeply missed by his family and friends who had the wonderful opportunity of knowing and loving him. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:30 pm till 2:30 pm on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home. Please, come and share you memories and life stories with Tom's Family.
