Tom was born May 27, 1934 in Freeport, IL moving to Michigan and attending Lawrence Technical Institute, graduating with a BA in Electrical Engineering. Thomas W. Hartford, age, 78, loving husband, stepfather and step grandfather entered eternal life at Casa Bella on Monday, December 3, 2012 after a long illness. Tom was born May 27, 1934 in Freeport, IL moving to Michigan and attending Lawrence Technical Institute, graduating with a BA in Electrical Engineering. He then received his MBA from Wayne State University and became a Registered Professional Engineer in 1964. Tom and his wife Sharon moved to Las Cruces in 1988 where Tom took a position with Lockheed and then Allied Signal at the NASA Test Facility retiring as a Test Propulsion Supervisor in 1995. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother. He leaves behind his wife Sharon of 24 years, stepdaughter Kim Watson and husband Ed of Las Cruces, stepson's Steve Poborka of Tampa, FL, Sergay Poborka and wife Michelle of Starkville, MS and seven step grandchildren. As Tom requested, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at Getz Funeral Home.
