Tibor Kocsis Sr., 79, of Las Cruces, died March 6, 2016. Tibor was born on January 14, 1937 to Maria Kocsis, in Szeged, Hungary. In 1956 Tibor immigrated to the United States, living with a Protestant family for a few years, before deciding to join the US Army. During his 20 years of service, four and a half of which were overseas, he obtained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2. Tibor retired from the Army in July of 1974. After retirement Tibor attended NMSU, where he met his future wife Linda Clark. The happy couple were married on December 23, 1982. Tibor later began working at Sears, where he spent another 20 years before retiring a second time. He loved tending to his garden and orchard, but his greatest accomplishment was raising his two boys. He was always involved in everything his boys participated in, including Boy Scouts of America. Tibor is Survived by his two sons; Tibor Jr. and Nicole Kocsis, and Tony Kocsis, of Las Cruces, one granddaughter Giada Kocsis, one grandson Nathan Paz, of Las Cruces and one grandchild coming July 2016. A memorial service will be held, in honor of Tibor, at Getz Funeral Home, on Friday, March 18, 2016, at 4PM. Interment will be taking place on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 9:30AM at Ft.
