It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our loving mother Tina I. Wood (82) on the morning of October 10, 2023. She was surrounded by all of her loving family.
Tina was born July 18, 1941, in Clayton NM. to Fulgencio and Refugita Dominguez. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five children Mark Nicholson Sr., Lisa Nowell, Laura and Agnes Nich...

Tina was born July 18, 1941, in Clayton NM. to Fulgencio and Refugita Dominguez. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five children Mark Nicholson Sr., Lisa Nowell, Laura and Agnes Nicholson, Derek and Frances Dubiel, Sonya, and Brad Hardway as well as her two sisters, Nickie Connolly of Hobbs, NM, and Elvia Trujillo of Roswell NM. Tina was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Tina was preceded in death by her parents Fulgencio and Refugita Dominguez, sisters Josie Montano and Jenny Lanfor and brother Max Dominguez.
Tina was the matriarch of her family and loved having all her family with her as often as she could. She loved cooking for her family, especially during the holidays. She loved to go dancing and would often be seen dancing around at family gatherings. She enjoyed fishing, camping and also going on vacations with her sister. She spent many years working in the restaurant business and retired as the restaurant manager of the Ventana Terrace inside the Las Cruces Hilton.
The family will be holding services in both Las Cruces and Roswell NM.

The Rosary will take place at Getz’s Funeral home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. on October 20,2023. We will be receiving guests for viewing from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. and the rosary will begin at 7 p.m. promptly. Mass will take place at St. Genevieve’s Church, 100 E. Espina St. on October 21,2023 at 11:30 a.m.
Roswell Services are as follows:
A Mass will be held on October 28,2023 at St. Peter’s church, 111 E Deming St. at 10 a.m. Followed by interment at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, 2605 E. 19th St.
