Send Flowers Tito Amati, Jr. June 24, 1923 - February 3, 2017 Tito Amati, Jr., of La Cruces left his Earthly home for his Heavenly home on Friday, February 3, 1017. He was born to Tito, Sr. and Violet Amati (Gary) in Trenton, New Jersey on June 24, 1923. Tito was a very patriotic second generation Italian American and proud to serve his country in the South Pacific between 1942-1946 during World War II in the United States Army. Military citations include Asian Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 10 for 5 years and a charter member of Mission Lutheran Church on Roadrunner Parkway. Tito was an honorable man that labored for the love of his wife, Loretta Amati (Kotke) and their five children. Upon his retirement from KALTEX Manufacturing, the couple moved to Las Cruces in 1985. Tito was preceded in death by his son, Tito Thomas Amati, his parents, Tito, Sr. and Violet, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 73 years, Loretta, and his sons, Albert Paul Amati and wife Patricia, Laurence A. Amati and wife Deborah, Bruce F. Amati and Carol Pena and his daughter, Loretta Amati. He leaves eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Tito has many friends from his past 27 years in the Hamilton Township of New Jersey including Jerry Smith, Pat Patterson, and Tony Mikalaus. A viewing will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Getz Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, February7, 2017 at the Mission Lutheran Church on 2752 Roadrunner Parkway, officiated by Pastor Robert Carabotta. A family graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue, where he will be laid to rest. Service Information
