Tito Torres Fajardo,80, of Las Cruces passed away May 1, 2013 at Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his family. Tito was born June 29, 1932 in T or C, New Mexico to Gregorio Fajardo, Frances Torres. Tito attended the Engineer School in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Tito proudly served in the U.S Army and received Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal. Tito retired for 20 years, and worked for Smith & Aguirre Constuction. Tito is survived by his long time companion Teresa Padilla Las Cruces, NM Daughter Isabel J Fajardo Spouse Rogelio Pizarro Las Cruces, NM.Stepchildren Antonio Guzman, Patricia Guzman, Lynn Almaguer and spouse Lupe Almaguer, Letty Ovalle and spouse Rey Ovalle, Cecilia Padilla, Joseph D Padilla (Maya) and spouse Janette Padilla and Michael Padilla Las Cruces, NM, he is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren Predeceased by parents Frances Fajardo and Gregorio Fajardo, Brothers Emilio Fajardo, Elias Fajardo and Gregorio Fajardo Jr. Visitation for Tito will be on Monday May 6, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m., where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 p.m., Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday May 7, 2013 also at Getz Funeral Home, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
