Todd Jonathan Coomes, 54, of Las Cruces passed away on Monday August 5, 2013. Todd was born on January 19, 1959 in Canton, Ohio to Joseph and Judith Coomes. Todd enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing, boating, hang-gliding, and hunting. He also enjoyed music and played banjo for the Salty Dogs Bluegrass Band. Todd Jonathan Coomes, 54, of Las Cruces passed away on Monday August 5, 2013. Todd was born on January 19, 1959 in Canton, Ohio to Joseph and Judith Coomes. Todd enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing, boating, hang-gliding, and hunting. He also enjoyed music and played banjo for the Salty Dogs Bluegrass Band. He loved having company and playing the banjo for his friends and family. Todd is survived by his parents Joseph and Judith Coomes, his siblings Pam Waters of Maine and David Coomes of Texas. He is also survived by his best friend and companion, Nancy Petersen. Todd also leaves behind his three children: Jonathan Coomes (Jessica Miranda) and Nichole Coomes, with their mother Irene Coomes ,and Todd Jr. Everett (Jenna Everett) from Hartville, Ohio with his mother Nancy Jeane. And lastly, his pride and joy, Ethan Coomes; his only grandson. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on August 9, 2013 at 7pm., with Fr. Don Adamski officiating.
