Antonio T. Gonzales, 65, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Tony was born May 2, 1955 in Hatch, New Mexico to Manuel M. Gonzales and Helen T. Gonzales. He had 6 siblings Robert Bernal, Dolores Bernal, Lucy Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales Jr., Petra Gonzales, and Daniel Gonzales.

Antonio T. Gonzales, 65, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Tony was born May 2, 1955 in Hatch, New Mexico to Manuel M. Gonzales and Helen T. Gonzales. He had 6 siblings Robert Bernal, Dolores Bernal, Lucy Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales Jr., Petra Gonzales, and Daniel Gonzales.
Tony attended Five Points Elementary, Ernie Pyle Jr. High and West Mesa High School. On April 2, 1973 he joined the Marines until June 6, 1976 where he was an E3 Rifle expert.
Tony was a craftsman and loved to work with his hands. He could design and build you a home or anything you wanted to design He was a Catholic. Tony loved his family and friends and liked to be around them. He loved his close friends Ramon, Samuel (Jap) and Bennie Altamirano and family and the Facio Family.
Tony is survived by his children Antonio Gonzales Jr. and wife Rosario, Martin Gonzales and wife Rosa, Herman Gonzales, Carla Wood and husband Paul and Eva Gonzales. Also left to cherish is memory are his brothers, Robert (Bobby) Bernal and wife Rebecca, Manuel Gonzales Jr, Danny Gonzales and wife Luci, Sisters, Lucy Sanchez and husband Leroy Sanchez, Peggy Cordova and husband Chris. and his15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Helen Gonzales, sister Dolores Trevizo, and grandson Martin Gonz...

Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2020 followed by rosary led by Deacon Leroy and Lucy Sanchez at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88001. Prayer service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:00 am led by Deacon Leroy Sanchez at Getz Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
