Trinidad G. Chavez, 73 of Las Cruces, NM died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1933 in Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico to Eustacio and Cruz Chavez. Trinidad was a farm laborer, working at local farms and was a member of the Catholic Church. Trinidad G. Chavez, 73 of Las Cruces, NM died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1933 in Cuahutemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico to Eustacio and Cruz Chavez. Trinidad was a farm laborer, working at local farms and was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survive by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Julia Alcantar Chavez of Las Cruces, NM and Bertha Chavez of Juarez, Mexico. Six sons, Jose Trinidad Chavez of Pecos, TX; Jaime Chavez of Junction Colorado; Oscar Chavez of Chihuahua, MX; Chris Roybal of Santa Fe, NM; Paul Roybal of Santa Fe, NM and Roger Roybal of Phoenix, AZ. One brother, Ustacio Chavez of Utah. Also surviving Trinidad are four sisters, Julia Chavez Castillo, Romelia Salaiz, and Josefina Chavez all of Chihuahua, MX and Gloria Chavez of Denver, CO; 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylveria Castillo in 2004. A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, 5035 Holsome Road, Las Cruces, where the prayer Vigil will follow at 2:00 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 2:30 PM also at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church on Thursday. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Officiating will be Fr.
