It is with great sadness that the family of Valentina Barraza de Martinez, 67, announce her passing on November 1, 2021, in Las Cruces. She was born in Meoqui, Chihuahua to Jose Isabel Barraza Nava and Guadalupe Garcia Campos. Valentina was married to Miguel Arturo Martinez for forty-nine years. She took great pride in receiving a certificate in Psychology. She volunteered for several years as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army during the holidays. She loved music, cooking, enjoyed crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren. She would do anything for her grandchildren, and they will greatly miss her. Her family will forever remember Valentina for her sense of humor, contagious laugh, and huge heart. She took in everyone she encountered and treated them like family. She was everyone's "mom". Her husband, three children, and eight grandchildren survive Valentina. She leaves behind several family members as well. A Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 9am with the Prayer Service to begin at 11am in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. First Visitation
