Our beloved Valentine Murphy Bustamante (Val), age 73 of Anthony, New Mexico passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021. He was born on December 22, 1948 to Alfonso Valles Bustamante and Matilde Murphy Bustamante. Val was a kind, loving and altruistic man. He dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren. Our beloved Valentine Murphy Bustamante (Val), age 73 of Anthony, New Mexico passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021. He was born on December 22, 1948 to Alfonso Valles Bustamante and Matilde Murphy Bustamante. Val was a kind, loving and altruistic man. He dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren. Valentine graduated from Las Cruces High School and was inducted into the U.S Army in May 1968 as an infantry man. He proudly served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 then reenlisted and served until 1974. He received many honorable awards to include Bronze Star, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device, Combat Infantryman Badge and Parachute Badge. He then worked for the Federal Government and retired after 34 years to pursue his hobbies in restoring classic trucks. Valentine will be deeply missed and remembered for his authentic charitable heart, braveness and radiant smile. He is survived by his daughter Valerie Ann Bustamante (Nick), and best friend Reina Rodriguez. He leaves behind seven grandchildren; Ashley Mason (Terry), Erika Ramos (Randy), Andrew N. Mavroleon, Matthew J. Bustamante, Lauren R. Bustamante, Juan Carlos Bustamante, Niko I. Bustamante, six great grandchildren Violet H. Bustamante, Isabella R. Mavroleon, LeeAnn F. Bustamante, Nick Mavroleon, Ashley Mason, Terry Mason, Erika Ramos, Randy Ramos and Gabriel Sanchez.
