Virginia Polanco, 71, of Las Cruces, died Friday, August 7, 2009 with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed. She was born October 22, 1937 in to Henry and Romelia Alderete of T or C, NM. Virginia Polanco, 71, of Las Cruces, died Friday, August 7, 2009 with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed. She was born October 22, 1937 in to Henry and Romelia Alderete of T or C, NM. Virginia enjoyed many hobbies, especially collecting crystals and rocks, painting and attending to her much loved turtles. She enjoyed visiting new places with her daughter Diane as she loved to travel. Virginia is survived by her loving husband Oswaldo, Diane Marri, and Jr. their two children. She also will be missed by her daughter-in-law Ana, wife of Jr. and her grand daughter Chloe Paige, all of Alburquerque, NM. Virginias sisters include Francis Madrid and Emma Gamboa; Brothers, Henry Alderete and Santos Alderete. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 PM. Her funeral mass will be given at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
