Walter F. Lynch, 81, of Las Cruces, died Wednesday December 20, 2006. Walter was born in Sudbury, Mass. to Walter and Jenny Lynch. He was a brilliant man working for White Sands Missile Range. Working on the Nike Missile. Walter was very active with the Masonic lodge, belonging to Dona Ana Daylight Lodge # 78, as well as the Mesilla Valley Chapter #16 of the York Rite. He was Commander of the Commandry #11 in 1991, Illustrious Master of the Organ Council #2 in 1992, as well as High Priest of the Mesilla Valley Chapter #16 in 1993. Walter is survived by his beloved wife Mary, of the family home, son, Stephen D. Lynch and wife Jo Lynn of Silver City, NM, and Two Daughters Linda K. Lunsford and husband Wayne, of Los Alamos, NM, Kathleen Hankins and husband Dan, of San Diego, Ca, six grand children, Tyrone Lynch, Deborah McAlister, Shari White, Thomas Lunsford, Kristin Lunsford, Paige Hankins and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association 1-800-342-2383. A memorial service, with Masonic Rite and Military, will be held Monday January 15, 2007 in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. PDF Printable Version
