Wanda Louise Sorrell Tibbs (Tia Wana) our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt received her angel wings Tuesday November 18, 2014 at the age of 73 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Wanda was born May 3, 1941 in Garfield, NM to Matthew Bascom and Edith Eloise Sorrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother's Donald Ray, Gary Dale and Sisters Bobbie and Shirley. Wanda leaves behind her husband Delmar Wayne Tibbs, sons Michael and wife Kim Tibbs, Brent Tibbs and Jacob Tibbs, daughters Jennifer Tibbs, Rani Nisha Tibbs and Karen and husband Aaron Chavez. Grandchildren, Alexis Brianne Tibbs, Charleen Garcia, Olivia Arceniega, Jaylen Case and Aaron Chavez Junior. Great-Grandchildren, Kody, Brett and AJ. Sisters Glinda Ziehl and Linda Woods nieces and nephews, as well as numerous extended family. Wanda was a mother from the time she was 6 years old when her triplet siblings were born until the day she died. She loved children and took care of them as her own. She even took care of the lunch lady's baby when she was at school. She was a strong and loving Christian woman who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
