Wayne F. "Windy" Marshall, 84, of Las Cruces, died Monday, April 13, 2009. He was born April 20, 1924 in Portales, NM to Victor and Belle Marshall. Windy was a retired engineer from Burns Construction after more than 20 years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and collecting Indian artifacts. Wayne F. "Windy" Marshall, 84, of Las Cruces, died Monday, April 13, 2009. He was born April 20, 1924 in Portales, NM to Victor and Belle Marshall. Windy was a retired engineer from Burns Construction after more than 20 years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and collecting Indian artifacts. He will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Irene Marshall of the family home; sons Robert E. Marshall of Las Cruces and Omar F. Marshall of Laredo, TX; daughter Phyllis Inman and husband Hoyt of Las Cruces; brother Harold Z. Cross and wife Glenda of Grand Junction, CO; sister-in-law Imogene M. Marshall of Portales, NM; Also surviving him are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by daughter Margaret Marshall and her son Rodney Marshall, two brothers Warren and Victor Marshall and a sister Vera Clark. Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with David Stewart of Church of Christ officiating. PDF Printable Version
