William (Bill) Bland Thomas was born to Otha and Lynda Thomas on November 6, 1928 in Waco, Texas and fell asleep in death on November 16, 2013 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was 85 years old. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jovita, and their 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Bill was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1972 and was a faithful and active member of the Mulberry Congregation in Las Cruces. Bill was loved and respected by young and old alike in the congregation and in the community. He took the commission to preach and teach given to all Christians by Jesus Christ seriously, and continued to share his faith and love for Jehovah God with everyone he came in contact with down to his last day of life. We wait for the day we will see him again, under better circumstances, when God's Kingdom restores earth to a paradise. A memorial talk will be given by Eric Lara at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave, on Saturday November 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. PDF Printable Version
