Mr. William Howard Paulson, born in Massillon, Ohio on October 5, 1926, died quietly at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10:10 AM. He has lived in New Mexico since 1999. After graduating from Washington High School, Massillon, Ohio in 1944, Mr. Paulson enlisted in the United States Navy, and served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations as a 1st class radio man; thus becoming a World War II Veteran. After returning from the war, Mr. Paulson attended the Ohio State University and graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He also graduated from Purdue Universities Professional Sales Institute. After completing his studies he served six years on Massillon City Council and ran for Councilman at Large, First Ward in 1953. Mr. Paulson was an Eagle Scout and District Member-at Large, Yucca Council, El Paso, Texas and was recently awarded a certificate for his active membership in the Boy Scouts of America for 75 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the International Shriners, American Legion and the local radio club of Deming, New Mexico. He received many Certificates of Appreciation and was honored for his Volunteer Services in the Civil Air Patrol, Goodfellow Air Force Base, san Angelo, Texas and was a major Blood Donor for the American Red Cross. In his early years, Mr. Paulson was a true businessman, who owned and operated his own business establishment dealing in automotive parts and later in life worked at Brown and Bigelow, had his own Photography shop and was also a Certified Life Underwriter for the Equitable life insurance company. His hobbies included photography and politics. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie A. Paulson, and four children, Ms. Betsy Davis and husband Mr. Gregory A. Davis, Mr. Eric (Rick) J. Paulson, Ms. Glenna (Cricket) J. Paulson and husband Mr. Ronald H. Neal II, and Ms. Sigrid Paulson and her companion, Lt. Col. Russell Catanach. Mr. Paulson is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren include: Ms. Helaine Marie Wenzel and husband, Mr. David Wenzel, Ms. Monica Hatcher and husband, Mr. Marvin Hatcher, Ms. Melanie May Osborne, Ms. Heidi Kae Davis and Fianc
