William (Bill) O. Patterson passed away December 1, 2010 at Sierra Health Care Center after a long battle with cancer. Bill was born to Robert L. Patterson and Patricia Robertson January 21, 1930. William (Bill) O. Patterson passed away December 1, 2010 at Sierra Health Care Center after a long battle with cancer. Bill was born to Robert L. Patterson and Patricia Robertson January 21, 1930. Bill was a resident of Elephant Butte since 1998. Before moving to Elephant Butte he made his home in Las Cruces for 40 years. Bill served his country in the US Navy from 1947 through 1951. Bill was an Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge, Las Cruces Chapter 1119. Bill was a past officer of the Elephant Butte Bass Anglers. Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Madeline of the home, his sons Steve A. and David L. (Marina), four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three half bother and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services for William (Bill) O. Paterson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel.
