Woody Williams Jr. died at Mountain View Regional Medical Center on July 24, 2018 at the age of 40. Woody Jr. was born on September 7, 1977 in Havre de Grace Maryland to Woody and Terry Williams. He graduated from the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Woody liked basketball, with the Golden State Warriors being his favorite team. He enjoyed eclectic music as his collection would show; and he could listen to Bob Seger all day. Woody never met a stranger; he would hold out his hand to shake and introduce himself and consider himself your friend. Whenever he went some where there was somebody who knew him. He was a happy, good hearted guy. He loved all his family more than "very much". He is survived by his parents Woody Williams and Terry L. Williams of Las Cruces and his brother Anthony C. Long of Aberdeen Maryland. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Lonnie and Doris Harvey of Bristol Pennsylvania, and his maternal grandparents Curtis and Theresa Spell of Las Cruces. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, August 3, 2018, at Scripture Baptist Church located at 4440 Elks Drive. Pastor Richard Johnson will officiate. Refreshments will follow. All are invited to celebrate Woody's life. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Mesilla Valley Hospice.
