On January 19, 2022, the Lord called our dad home. Xavier Manuel Gutierrez departed from our lives to eternally rest at Mountain View Regional Center, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Martha and Manuel Gutierrez Jr. on September 14, 1977. Xavier grew up in the town of Mesilla, where he lived a short yet vivacious life dedicating himself unselfishly to his family and friends. In 1996, Xavier graduated from Las Cruces High School where he represented the South in the North vs. South Allstar Football Game as well as being selected to play in the Coaches Care Wave II game in Australia. He continued his football career at Bethel College located in Kansas and soon returned to his hometown to complete his Bachelor's Degree. His love for the game of football and his Raiders will live on for generations to come. Xavier upheld a bold, energetic spirit that would shine light in any dark room. His charismatic, thoughtful, and kindhearted personality was contagious. Xavier was a prankster who always had a trick up his sleeve with the goal of putting a smile on your face. He was a creative individual that enjoyed doing arts and crafts with his family. He especially enjoyed grilling, listening to oldies, and watching Sunday football with his children. Most importantly, he was an influencer and educator who impacted numerous lives. Xavier always found the positive in every negative circumstance he was faced with. He was the foundation of his family and left countless beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. He knew at a young age that he wanted to be a father. His unconditional love for his children was and forever will be indescribable. Xavier was cherished as a son, brother, father, "tio", and friend. He was the greatest basketball, baseball, and cheer dad we could have ever asked for. His legacy and the valuable lessons he taught us will persevere. Xavier leaves behind his oldest daughter, Lauren Gutierrez and his two sons, Xavier Gutierrez Jr. and Andrew "Peanut" Gutierrez. He is survived by his parents Manuel and Martha Gutierrez Jr., sisters Victoria Gutierrez and Elena Gutierrez (Carlo and Alani Gutierrez).
