Yolanda Cordero, 61, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, May 27, 2007. She was born August 15, 1945 in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose and Esther Gonzalez Parra. Yolanda was very active with her church and was always willing to give of herself and help in the community in any way needed. Yolanda Cordero, 61, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, May 27, 2007. She was born August 15, 1945 in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose and Esther Gonzalez Parra. Yolanda was very active with her church and was always willing to give of herself and help in the community in any way needed. She loved to travel and sew, but her passion was taking care of her family. She will be forever deeply missed by all her family and many friends who knew and loved her. Mrs. Cordero is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Armando Cordero Sr. of the family home; son Armando Cordero Jr; daughters Myrna, Cordero, Imelda Cordero, Elda Cordero and Aida Cordero all of Las Cruces; brothers Gilbert Parra and wife Antoinette, Edmundo Parra and wife Kathy and sister Armida Parra all of Hollister, CA; granddaughters Alma, Jenny and Sarai and by great-grandson Joshua. Her parents and a brother Jose Luis preceded Yolanda in death. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer service will follow at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 9:00 AM on Friday, June 1, 2007 also at Getz Funeral Home with Rev. Nehmias Garcia of Templo Bethania officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Yolanda's family. PDF Printable Version
