Yolanda H. Garcia, 63, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, June 16, 2013. She was born May 3, 1950 in Santo Tomas, NM, to Macario and Maria Holguin. Yolanda was a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, enjoyed reading and doing Sudoku puzzles but her passion was for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Yolanda H. Garcia, 63, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, June 16, 2013. She was born May 3, 1950 in Santo Tomas, NM, to Macario and Maria Holguin. Yolanda was a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, enjoyed reading and doing Sudoku puzzles but her passion was for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her four children Luis Garcia (Sandra), Raquel Garcia (Xavier Barela), Alicia Nieto (Gilbert) and Irene Garcia all of Las Cruces; parents Macario and Maria Holguin; brothers Adam, Armando, Mickey and Tony Holguin; sisters Delia Ruelas and Lola Pettes; grandchildren Ashley, Sebastian, Kiera and Emilio and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her loving husband Pilar R. Garcia. A rosary will be prayed at 6 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Getz Funeral Home. Yolanda's funeral mass to celebrate her life is at 9 am on Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Narciso Rivera officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer will go to: Irene Garcia, Ashley Garcia, Emilio Garcia, Sebastian G.
