Yvonne Marie Butler, formerly of Las Cruces, regretfully passed away while living in Lewisville, TX. Yvonne was truly a shining light to all who had the good fortune of coming into her life. Yvonne was never seen without that famous smile, which infected all her family and friends. "Las Cruces's loss was a Texas gain", when Yvonne left to reside in Texas, a much-anticipated visit to or from Yvonne was a special event for us all. Yvonne left our earth and entered eternal life to be with her beloved heavenly Father, Thursday, Oct. 4, on her birthday, her spirituality is much to be gained from; she had such a deep love for the Lord. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 4, 1958 in Las Cruces, NM. In 1996, Yvonne joined American Airlines and progressed steadily through the company exhibiting intellect, and people skills. Yvonne had a good analytical mind was very effective in solving complex problems and was well liked by her many co-workers and peers alike. She was well renowned for her ability to work in difficult situations. Yvonne was often described as a positive thinker, good listener and always with a smile. She had an uncanny ability to think from the other person's point of view and was very level headed in her decisions. Yvonne was a good judge of character and never held any ill towards anyone. She was very forgiving and always willing to help others with their needs even at the expense of her own. During her many years at American, she touched many lives through her positive outlook and she will forever survive in the memories of her American Airlines family. Yvonne had a great love of traveling, beading, stamping, movies and just loved life. She was always ready to take on any challenge. Survivors include her parents, Joe Fred and Hortencia Butler, two brothers Gary and his wife Fatima, Mark and his wife Yvonne, one sister Debbie and her husband Bob Brown. Nieces; Valerie, Michelle and Jackie. Nephews; Jerrod and Kim, Justin, Jonathan, Donald and Cindy, Ronnie, and Mark Anthony. Great-nephews; Jaden and Tristen, great nieces, Devon, Mia, and Taryn and many wonderful and loved godchildren. Survived also by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Preceded to heaven by grandparents, Josephine and Norberto Butler, Maggie Banegas, Francisco Valles, others; MaryAnn and Manuel Gonzales, Eileen Butler Montano, Dolores (Loli) and Bill Brooks, Robert Butler, Eddie Montano and William Andrew Brooks. Rosary is scheduled for Yvonne at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina St. in Las Cruces, where she attended and graduated from. Family and friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 10 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at the same church with Fr. Sean Garrity and Deacon Adam Sanchez officiating. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with other family members. Serving, as pallbearers will be Gary, Jerrod, and Mark Butler, Bob Brown, Raj Shirnivasagum and Donald Martinez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin, Jonathan and Jaden Butler, Ronnie and Tristen Martinez.
