Zachary Tracy Isaacs 51 went to eternal rest on Wednesday January 28, 2010. Zack was born in Starkville, Mississippi on July 16, 1958. He moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in January of 1967 and it was his home for many years. He grew up in Las Cruces where he was actively involved in sports and was a phenomenal athlete. He played football and baseball all through his years and was a superior athlete for Las Cruces High School where he graduated from and where he took their 1975 football team to the State Championship and was voted Greatest Bulldawg. The bulldawgs had not won a state championship since 1959 and he was one of the greatest running backs that had ever come around and he broke many records with his running and passing ability. He then went on to Murray State, Kentucky to play football on a full ride scholarship where he also was a running back for the Murray State Racers. Zack was a very kind and compassionate man who never met a stranger and if you knew him you loved him. He was the kind of man who never turned his back on anyone. He loved sports and football was his life as he was a major Dallas Cowboy fan. He was a single father who raised his beautiful daughters and they truly were his pride and joy. He was also a great family man who truly loved his family and enjoyed many family get-together's where he was the one always finding the good side of everyone. Zack was one of those people who came into your life and left footprints on your heart by his loving and funny ways and there will never be another one like him as he truly was a unique man who loved God. Zack is survived by his beautiful daughters Kayla Lynelle Isaacs and Kayci Autumn Isaacs, his mother Pauline N. Isaacs, his brothers Willie Isaacs and wife Barbara from Tustin, Ca., Blaine Isaacs and wife Laura from Mesa, Arizona and his sister Tondria Isaacs Lopeztello from Foothill Ranch, CA. He is also survived by his nephew Austin Isaacs and niece Ashley Nichole Lopeztello. He is preceded in death by his loving father Dr. Willie P. Isaacs and his sister Donna Marie Isaacs Hernandez as well as his brother in law Alfred O. Lopeztello and his Uncle Mike Gray. There will be a viewing on Sunday January 31, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home from 5-7pm open to the public. The funeral service will take place on Monday February 1, 2010 at 9:00am at University Presbyterian Church located at 2010 Wisconsin Ave. Las Cruces, New Mexico 88001, with burial services at Hillcrest Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Willie Isaacs Jr., Blaine G. Isaacs, Randy McMillian, Larry Lucas, Carl Hunter Jessie Mullins and Note Pate and with honorary pall bearers being Adam Beadle and Terry Kiehene.
