Alicia Gail Bailey

October 13, 1940 — April 11, 2026

Alicia Gail Bailey (Ham), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, at the age of 85. She was the precious daughter of Woodrow and Mozelle Ham and was born on October 13, 1940, in Wellington, Texas. She spent her early childhood in the Texas Panhandle with her parents and her adored younger brother Clint. In the late fifties, the family settled in Beeville, Texas, where Alicia became a proud graduate of A.C. Jones High School. She provided tremendous comfort to her parents after the tragic death of her younger brother in 1971.

Alicia lived much of her life in San Antonio, Texas. She played a diligent role in the elementary/secondary education of her sons, serving as room mother, team mother, and PTA President. Some of her more delightful moments involved playing bridge with the “bridge ladies”, and we are grateful for the friendship provided by these women. Alicia was a longtime member and eventual employee of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She lived in Corpus Christi, Texas in the later years of her life to be closer to family. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.

Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her husband and former spouse. She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Faith), Randy (Veronica) and Rico (Ebony), eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces/nephews, and friends. A memorial service will take place in San Antonio in the coming weeks, so please check back for details. Burial will take place in Beeville. Please consider a donation to the charity of your choice in Alicia’s memory.
