Alma C. Norris

Alma C. Norris, 69, of Las Cruces, died Friday, May 18, 2012. "Chris" as she was fondly known was born August 9, 1942 in Santa Rita, NM to James and Alma Bourn. She had been a Licensed Practical Nurse with many years of faithful service to her profession. Chris enjoyed making floral arrangements, ceramics and pottery and reading. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 10124 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, but her passion was for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years George Norris of the family home; sons Kirk Roberts and wife Christi of Las Cruces, Cecil Roberts and wife Sheryl of Houston, Alaska and Larry Norris and wife Stephanie of Sierra Vista, AZ; brother James Bourn and wife Kathy of Bay City, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren Barrett, Kindle, Cody and Cera. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life are at 10 am on Thursday, May 24, 2012 also at Getz Funeral Home. Burial is at Masonic Cemetery. The honor being a pallbearer will go to Chris's friends.
