Anastacio R. Romero, 86, lifelong resident of the Mesilla Valley, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009. "Tacho" as he was fondly known was born Oct. 6, 1923 in Las Cruces to Abrahan and Mattie Rich Romero. He loved working in the outdoors with the pecan trees, his garden, and he enjoyed music and singing. Mr. Romero will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son David Romero and wife Patricia of Las Cruces; two daughters Jennie Limon and husband Gilbert and Rennette Apodaca all of Las Cruces; grandchildren Abrahan and Felipe Romero, Angela Romero De Paz, Trisha Romero and fianc
