Anita B. Gomez passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at the age of 96. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished matriarch whose life was defined by love for her family, unwavering faith, and quiet strength. Everything she did was rooted in caring for those she held closest.
Strong-willed and sometimes stubborn, Anita held firmly to her faith and beliefs. A devout member of the Catholic Church, she lived a life guided by prayer, tradition, and trust in God, setting an enduring example of faith for generations to come.
A homemaker at heart, Anita poured her creativity and care into her home. She had a true gift for crafts and a remarkable green thumb, finding peace and joy in tending her flowers and nurturing life wherever she planted it. Her home was a place of warmth, beauty, and comfort.
Though her formal education ended after the eighth grade, Anita was a woman of remarkable intelligence. She raised six children, teaching them the importance of love, generosity, and caring for others. She created a warm home filled with incredible food and cherished traditions that will be passed down for generations. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, often expressing that love through meals shared around the table—bringing people together and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Strong, resilient, and deeply loving, Anita Gomez was a remarkable woman whose legacy lives on through her family, her faith, and the many lives she touched.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Frank. She is survived by her children Michael (Dianne), Barbara (Dana), Frances (Sally), Mark (Kathie), Libby (Chuy), and Dolores (John); her grandchildren Christopher, Joshua (Maritza), Lionel (Lisa), Nicole (Zach), Jacob Tyler, Adan, Jacob Ismael, Santana (Angelica), Reyna, Vicente, Staci, and Parker; and her great-grandchildren Jonah, Mia, Lucia, Viviana, Maddox, Oden, and Micah.
