Aren Jordan Day

September 4, 2000 — May 16, 2026

We are heartbroken to share that our dear Aren Jordan Day has left his earthly body. Aren was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on September 4, 2000. He had a challenging start to life and grew to become a stoic and compassionate person who was deeply cherished by our family. Aren came into this world as a healer. His presence transformed his family in profound ways, helping us heal our wounds so that we could live more authentic and genuine lives. He changed all who loved him for the better.

Aren was our son, grandson, brother, uncle, and nephew. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Robin Day; his siblings, Anna Vendrely, Alyssa Day, Angel Day, Violet Lilly, Liliana Sosa, Myla Sosa, Donna Martinez, and Jasmine Martinez; as well as his biological mother, Noel Lilly; his grandmother, Joy Lilly; his great-grandmother, Donna Reed-Blanton (Ron Blanton); his uncles, Robert Day, Bobby Lilly, Cooper Ayon, Cory Ayon, and Adrian Lueras; and his aunt, Dasha Lilly. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Layla Vendrely, Nikia Lilly, Kyla Day, Jack Vendrely, Colt Duncan, Arya Day, Lana Lilly, and Jaxson Pena. Aren also leaves behind his dog Billy, whom he loved dearly. Aren was preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Day, and his grandfather, Bob Lilly.

Aren will be remembered for his laugh, his empathy, and his unique way of seeing the world. It is impossible to fully express the depth of the loss his passing leaves behind. That loss will be carried by all who loved him for the rest of our lives. May our ancestors greet Aren and carry his spirit into the next world. May those he leaves behind remember him in the wind, in the trees, and in the birds’ cries.

Do not stand By my grave, and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep-- I am the thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints in snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle, autumn rain. As you awake with morning's hush, I am the swift, up-flinging rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the day transcending night. Do not stand By my grave, and cry-- I am not there, I did not die.
