Art W. Haggerton

Art Haggerton, 65, of Las Cruces passed away in his home Monday, October 3, 2011. He was a teacher for over four decades; he will leave a life of encouraging students to embrace a love of language and theatre. Familiar to local audiences, Art produced, directed, and performed scores of theatrical productions around New Mexico. Art is preceded in death by his parents, H.B. and Loreatha "Dean" Haggerton, and a sister Utana Allen. He is survived by a younger sister Louwana Curren, of Harrisonburg,VA; two brothers, Butch Haggerton, of Alamogordo, and Roy Haggerton, of Carlsbad, NM. Family members will receive guests, friends, and community members at a memorial service on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 pm, at Las Cruces Community Theatre, 313 N.
