Barbara Dianne McLeod

Barbara Dianne McLeod peacefully passed away on January 23, 2026. She was born to Harry O’Neal McLeod and Odell Crow McLeod on April 12,1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dianne graduated with honors from Louisiana State University in 1960 with a degree in Education. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Delta Zeta. She spent her professional career with IBM in Baton Rouge, LA and in Houston,TX for 30 years as a Systems Engineer.

Dianne retired from IBM and moved to Las Cruces, NM in 1991, where she made her home for 34 years. She was a very loving and generous sister, aunt, and friend to many!

She is preceded in death by her parents, and older brothers, Harry and Jerry McLeod, and nephew Mark McLeod.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Sandra McLeod, her niece Kathleen (Mark) Megehee, her nephews Bryan (Lesa) McLeod, and Steve McLeod, eight great nieces and nephews, Matthew, Paul, Holly, Luke, Bethany, Hannah, Daniel, Levi. She was also survived by her dear friend Barbara Shannon and the Shannon family.

A memorial Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church on March 9, 2026 at 10:00am, followed by Inurnment at St. Francis Columbarium.
