Carlos Gonzalez

Carlos E. (Charlie) Gonzalez born February 16, 1925, New York N.Y. passed away December. 19, 2022. A WW II veteran, he saw action at Normandy and Bastone. After the war he was employed by the New York Transit Authority, starting as a collection agent and rising to Superintendent of Stations. An avid traveler he and his wife traversed every continent except Australia. Upon retirement he moved to Lancaster PA. In 2018 he moved to Las Cruces NM. He is survived by his wife the former Aida Gregoria Rodriguez whom he married March 1948; his sons Ronald and Jonathan, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Carlos Gonzalez, his mother Rosa Aleman, and his Uncle Fernando Aleman. A viewing will be held on January 3, 2023, from 5-7 pm with vigil service following at 7 pm at Getz Funeral Home located at 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Carlos' funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Retreat Center on January 4, 2023, at 10 am. First Visitation
