Christine Marie Nowak

Christine Marie Nowak, affectionately known as "Tina, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on May 23, 2025. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.

Born on June 29, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, Christine was the daughter of Evelyn Nowak (Snyder) and Leonard Nowak Sr. From a young age she was affectionate, radiated warmth, kindness, and optimism. Christine grew up having strong Polish roots in Toledo, graduating in 1968 from Start High School.

Throughout her life, Christine demonstrated a strong devotion to family. Christine was exceptionally proud of her two children, her son Thomas Nowak, who heroically served 26 years in the U.S. Army, and her daughter Jennifer Pierce (Nowak/Bridwell), who dedicated 11 honorable years to the U.S. Navy.

A most joyous highlight of Christine's later years was the pride and admiration she held for her beloved granddaughter, Naomi Bridwell, who recently graduated from high school. Naomi's accomplishments became a cherished source of conversation and happiness in Christine’s final months.

Christine was an enthusiastic sports fan. In her free time, Tina often found herself reading a good book or enjoying movies. She cherished gatherings filled with laughter while playing cards and board games, fishing adventures, trips to the casino, as well as spirited evenings at the local bingo hall. Friends and family associate her memory with laughter, fun, and a welcoming smile.

Christine was preceded in death by her grandparents, George Snyder Sr. and Harriet Snyder (Ringman); her devoted parents, Leonard Nowak Sr. and Evelyn Nowak (Snyder), her beloved brother, Leonard Nowak Jr. and nephew Dennis Nowak. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Nowak and Jennifer Pierce (Nowak/Bridwell); as well as her precious granddaughter, Naomi Bridwell; her son in law James Pierce, Aunt Deloris Tressler, Uncle Richard Snyder, Nephew Joseph Nowak Sr., great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends who adored her.

Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Christine’s full and beautiful life at her son's home at 1010 Lees Dr., Las Cruces, NM 88001, on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 6:00 pm.
