Christine Marie Trujillo (born February 1 st , 1950) beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 13 th , 2026. She is survived by her son, Sean Towers Childers and granddaughter, Alex Wheeler-Larkin; step-daughter, Michelle R Trujillo, step-grandson, Ernest C. Trujillo, and step-great grandson, Julius C. Trujillo; step-daughter, Mary Helen Biel, step-grandchildren Tori Trujillo, Oriana M. Biel, and Katalina J. Biel; brother Michael Johnston and his daughter, Eva; sister Linda Johnston, and Katherine Johnson, addition to extended family and many friends. Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Smith (1998) and Ernest V. Trujillo. After graduating from Mayfield High School, Chris went on to become a beautician and worked for many years at Hair Affair and Pickles Salon where she entertained a large clientele with both her ability and charm. Later, she worked at Dickerson’s where she organized and worked at auctions all around the southwest. That job helped her follow one of her biggest interests because she loved cars and motorcycles and had an encyclopedic knowledge of them. She dreamed of being able to travel to Cuba to see the cars and the culture. While she was not able to fulfill that particular dream, Chris always lived her life to the fullest and on her own terms. An avid biker, Chris rode her bike all over town, stopping to chat with all her many friends and neighbors. She was a strong supporter of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and rocked a bald head for a few weeks every year, and still looked beautiful. Chris always loved and supported children and delighted in spoiling her grandchild, step grandchildren, and those she “adopted.” She was a loving, fierce friend and will be missed by the many who knew and loved her. Services will be held June 9 th , 2026 at Our Lady of Health, 1178 N. Mesquite; Rosary at 10:00 followed by Mass at 10:30. A celebration to honor Chris will be held at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 980 N. 17 th from 1:00 to 3:00. Cash bar and food will be provided.
