Daniel James
Alderete
August 13, 1975 – May 29, 2026
Daniel Alderete entered into eternal rest after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Daniel was the beloved son of Santos Alderete, and the late Edna Alderete. Daniel's faith was the cornerstone of his life. As a devoted believer in Jesus Christ, he found great joy in sharing the gospel, praying for others, and encouraging those around him with his unwavering faith and compassion.
Daniel lived life with a spirit of adventure and a love for the simple joys that made life meaningful. In his younger years, he was an adventurous skateboarder who embraced every opportunity for excitement. As the years went by, he enjoyed taking bike rides around town, spending time outdoors, and appreciating the beauty of God's creation. He was a Stars Wars enthusiast, loved music, and shared his musical talents by playing both electric and acoustic guitar.
During the years he lived in California, Daniel developed a deep appreciation for the ocean, and the star-filled nights. Whether through music, conversation, or acts of kindness, Daniel touched the lives of many and left lasting memories with those who knew and loved him.
Daniel is survived by his loving father, Santos Alderete; his daughter, Morgan Amber Breed; and his siblings, Diane Lopez (Eddie), Richard Alderete, Michael Alderete (Estella), Elizabeth Acosta, Lawrence Alderete (Yolanda), Ruth Alderete, and Gregory Alderete. He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his loving mother Edna Alderete; his sister-in-law Stella Alderete, and brother-in-law Danny Acosta.
Though his earthly journey has come to an end, Daniel's faith assures us that he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord, his kindness, faith, music, and loving spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
