Danny M. Herrera, affectionately known as Papa, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on January 29, 1950, Danny’s life was filled with love, laughter, and the open road. Papa was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Patsy (“Bama”) and a proud father to Danny, Linda (and her husband Mike), Amanda, and Steven. He was the heart and soul of a large, loving family that included 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way-each one a source of endless joy for him. A true adventurer at heart, Papa loved nothing more than riding his motorcycle and spending quality time with his grandkids. Known for his sly, quiet jokes, he had a knack for brightening any room with a clever quip or a warm smile. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Papa’s life with a viewing at 2:30 p.m. on May 22, 2025, followed by a service at 3:30 p.m., both at Getz Funeral Home. Papa’s humor, warmth, and love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
