Diana Torres-Martinez

Diana Torres-Martinez, 43, of Las Cruces and formerly of the Bronx in New York City died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009. Lola as she was fondly known was born Dec. 11, 1965 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Diana had been a nurse with the Dona Ana County Detention Center. She enjoyed dancing, music and cooking for her family, she always had a smile on her face and willing to help anyone in need, but her passion was for her two beautiful grandchildren Shedonnie and Benito "Tito". Diana will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband Alexis Arturo "Lolo" Martinez Acevedo "solo quiero decirte que siempre seras mi esposa y mi Lola" TE AMO MI VIDA; her four flowers Kimberly Alonzo, Wendelyn Osorio, Daiamy Osorio and Natalie Osorio; father Samuel Torres; mother Luz Marquez; sisters Celia Perkins, Dalila Torres and Johanie Banegas. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home with Fr. Narcisco Rivera officiating. A final visitation and goodbye will be from 12 noon to 3 PM on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009 also at Getz Funeral Home. At the family's request cremation will follow and Diana's cremains will be laid to rest in her beloved Puerto Rico. PDF Printable Version
