Dianne Perry Campbell, aged 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 after a long and fulfilling life. She was born on February 13th, 1940, to Margaret and William Perry in Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
Dianne was a registered nurse, graduating from the Atkinson School of Nursing in Toronto, Canada. After graduation she came to Las Cruces and met the love of her life Martin Amador Campbell Jr. and was happily married for 57 years. Dianne worked at the old Memorial General Hospital on Alameda Blvd., as well as several doctor's offices, the NM Public Health Dept. and finally as a School Nurse for the Las Cruces Public School District. She was also part owner of Dimar Systems, a local fire protection company.
Dianne had a love for spicy local cuisine and could withstand any amount of heat. She also enjoyed visiting White Sands National Park on her birthdays. Dianne's hobbies included doing crafts such as candle making,
ceramics & making jewelry. She had an extreme love for all animals and always had many pets around her. Dianne loved visiting her relatives in Canada which included nieces and nephews.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Marty and son Martin (Tres) Campbell III (Cynthia). She was a very proud grandmother to Martin Campbell IV in West Virginia, Michelle Rich (Will) in Dallas, Texas, Christianna Campbell and Cleo Campbell both of Las Cruces. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ted, sister Joan and most recently by her youngest son Chris Campbell.
A family service will be held in Canada at a later date.
