April 07, 1960-January 22, 2026
With deep love, incredible grief, and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dr. Loretta Salas. She was a remarkable woman whose intelligence, warmth, and generosity touched countless lives. A devoted college professor, who dedicated her life to education and to the success of her students. She believed deeply in the power and importance of knowledge. Dr. Loretta Salas worked tirelessly to inspire others and confidence in everyone who worked with her. More than a professor, she was a mentor, guide, gave thoughtful advice and unwavering encouragement to all who knew her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Loretta Salas was an extraordinary friend, aunt, sister, and a cherished godmother. Her laughter and voice are unforgettable, her wisdom brought comfort and drive, her steady presence was a source of strength for so many. As a godmother and aunt, she offered unconditional love, guidance, support and celebrated accomplishments whether they were big or small with genuine joy. She was also a devoted dog lover whose heart was never complete without her dogs nearby. She found happiness in walks, playful moments, and companionship with her beloved dogs.
Dr. Loretta Salas leaves behind three sisters, a brother, numerous nieces and nephews, a legacy of knowledge, kindness, love, and loyalty. She is no longer with us physically, her lessons, memories, stories and her love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, students and all who knew her. It is hard to imagine our lives without her and the love she gave so freely.
