Edward A Jaramillo

Edward (Eddie) A. Jaramillo, 88, of Las Cruces passed away on April 20, 2014 in Las Cruces New Mexico. He was born to Virginia and Alfred Jaramillo on February 3, 1926 in Gallup, New Mexico. He served in the United States Navy from August 1943 to April 1946. Edward joined the New Mexico State Police in August 1951 and retired at the rank of Major in May of 1983. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Joe A. Jaramillo, and infant daughter Christine Joan and a son Jerry Jaramillo. Edward is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Jaramillo, and a daughter Janet Jaramillo. He is also survived by two granddaughters, April Kelly and Alyssa Kelly both of Austin Texas. Edward is also survived by numerous cousins and nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Thursday April 24, 2014 at Getz Funeral Home from 6-7 pm. Graveside services will be 10:30 am Friday April 25, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
