Edward O Guerra

Edward "Eddie" O. Guerra, 70, of Las Cruces passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Eddie was born on September 14, 1942 in Old Mesilla to Juan and Manuela Guerra. Eddie was a member of the Catholic Church. Eddie loved to teach boxing, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved football, and also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Eddie is survived by Jane Atilano of the family home, his son Ray Atilano and his wife Regina, Shorty Atilano and his wife Tracy; daughters Patricia Elaine Guerra, Diana Esquivel and husband Dennis; brothers Ernesto, Demetrio, Juan, Ricardo Guerra; sisters, Beatrice Ramos, Corina Pacheco, Ester Palma, Carmen Flores and Lucy Leon. Eddie is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Leticia Yvett Guerra. Visitation for Eddie will be on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, November 16, 2012 at Basilica of San Albino, 2280 Calle Principal. At his request cremation will follow the services. PDF Printable Version
