Elias Adolpho Vigil

Elias Adolpho Vigil “Leo,” 60, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Leo was born on March 2, 1965 in Santa Fe, NM to Phillip and Matilda. His family moved to Las Cruces when he was 6 years old. He graduated from Las Cruces High School and then went on to the national guard. Leo will be remembered by his words, love for his family, the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing pool, cards and drawing.
He is survived by his son Andrew Garcia (Briana), two grandchildren, Andrew and Nevaeh Garcia. Brothers, Philip Vigil Sr, Leroy Vigil (Hilda), Michael Vigil (Vicky), sister Teresa Apodaca (Tony), sister in law Terry Vigil and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Matilda, sister Carla and brother Johnny Vigil.
A rosary will be held at Getz Funeral Home on December 1, 2025 at 7 o’clock in the evening. A mass will be held the next day, December 2, 2025 at St. Genevieve’s Church at 10 o’clock in the morning with a burial to follow.
