Dad, we will miss you immensely. You were and will always be our strength. You were there to fix and put back the pieces when life was falling apart. You always had a way of making things better, you let us know everything was going to be alright. Your compassion can still be felt, even after death.

Our Dad was a hardworking, honest man, loved by many. He retired as Foreman of the traffic department, after having worked 27 years for the City of Las Cruces. Family and friends were his priority. He made a lifetime of memories hunting, fishing, and camping, with those he cared for. He made life better for all of us, impacting countless lives as he lived his. He would always say, “if I go tomorrow, I’m ready, I’ve lived a good life”. To those that keep him in their heart, know that he cared for you as well. When you think about him, think about the good times, the laughs, his smile. We all carry a piece of him within us.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister Enedina Ruiz-Amaya, niece Jessie Morales, sister-in-law Emma Ruiz.

He is survived by his wife, Genna Rodriquez Ruiz. Children, Lorena T. Ruiz and Eliberto (Tito) Ruiz jr. Grandchildren Alysha and Jake Brown, Ivann Ruiz, Jessica Ruiz, and Nathan Ruiz-Rountree.
