Eloisa T. Saucedo, 88, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center Hospital in Las Cruces, NM. Eloisa was born September 25, 1925 in Hurley, NM to Adela and Agapito Torres. She had nine siblings Adela Jones, Lumina Morgan, Agapito Torres Jr., Erlinda Morales, George Torres, Raymond Torres, Manuel Torres, Ruben Torres Sr. and Eddie Torres. She was married on August 16, 1947 in Deming, NM to Carlos E. Saucedo. She loved caring for her flowerbeds, crocheting, enjoyed baking from scratch empanandas, biscochos, tortillas and was known for her tamales and red chile con carne. Eloisa is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law: Gloria Saucedo, Dolores Tellez and husband Sammy; two granddaughters: Lorena "Rena" Hawkins, Leslie "Charlee" Sisneros and husband Phillip, two great-grandsons: Jordan Hawkins and Noah Colwell; and several nieces, nephews, godchildren and other cherished family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Carlos E. Saucedo, parents Adela and Agapito Torres, siblings Adela Jones, Agapito Torres Jr., George Torres, and Lumina Morgan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Getz Funeral Home from 9-9:30 am followed by rosary and mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Torres, John David Torres, Ray Montoya, Celso Clark, Nick Montes, and Tommy Flores. Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons Jordan Hawkins and Noah Colwell and brothers: Raymond, Manuel, Ruben, and Eddie Torres.
