Erasmo 'G' Guevara Mr.

Erasmo Guevara "Mr. G" a generous and well-respected resident of Las Cruces went home to join those that have gone before him on February 27, 2013 with his loving wife Yolanda and his daughter Priscilla by his side. He was a foreman at Stahman Farms and then later moved to Los Angeles, CA where he worked in the automotive industry. He eventually returned to Las Cruces where he owned and ran "Guevara's Chevron Gas/Service Station" on the corner of Lohman and Manzanita. He leaves behind his beloved wife Yolanda Guevara of 32 years, his sisters Mercedes Perez (Hank) of Commerce, CA, Maria Castrellon (Dan) of Pico Rivera, CA and Romelia Armenta of Carson, CA; also his daughter Priscilla Johnson (Robert) of NC, sons: Erasmo Guevara Jr. and Jesus Guevara of Las Cruces. He sadly leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Patricia Sanchez (Mike) of Rio Rancho, Stephanie Allen of NC, April Johnson of Las Cruces, Emily, Michelle and Dawn. Leaving also behind to miss him are his 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and his friends. He was preceded in death by his Mother Teodora, his Father Jesus, sister Josephina Cardon, 3 brothers Samuel and Raul Guevara and Alfonso Hernandez. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday March 7th, 2013 followed by a prayer vigil at 7:00 PM at Getz's Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church on Friday, March 8th, 2013 at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Due to his love of animals and at his request, in lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to The Humane Society of Las Cruces. PDF Printable Version
