Ernesto Correa Sr. 63 of Chihuahua, Mexico passed away January 28, 2012. Ernesto was a great man in many ways. He loved helping people out in so many ways. He was a very dedicated family man and always strived to give them the best, they will miss him greatly. Ernesto was known as a jack of all trades, helping people with construction work to electrical work. This was truly an upright man who many people looked up too. He worked in a steel mill for many years until he decided to move to Las Cruces, NM with his family in 1983. Upon his arrival he was met with many trials but he got through them with his family in mind. His compassion and generosity towards others, fear in god, and love for his family will always be remembered. Ernesto worked hard right down toward his final days, helping install lighting fixtures two days before he rested peacefully. The Correa family gives a very special thank you to Mesilla Valley Hospice for their compassionate of Ernesto in his final days. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ernesto is survived by his wife Martha E. Correa of the family home, his sons, Ernesto Correa Jr. and wife Jessica, Hugo Correa, and Israel Correa daughter, Norma E Apodaca and Husband Rudy. He is also survived by three grandchildren Damien Apodaca, Araceli Apodaca and Kahlan D. Correa and his sisters, Victoria Correa Melendez, Graciela Correa Melendez and Lilia Correa Melendez. A Celebration of Ernesto's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday February 3, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home. PDF Printable Version
