Estella A. Castillo

Estella A. Castillo, 46, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. She was born Dec. 1, 1963 in Las Cruces to Antonio and Rosenda Alatorre Ortega. She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, drawing and sewing but her passion was for her family. Estella will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Ralph Castillo of Las Cruces; children Christopher Joe Vasquez of San Diego, CA, John Vasquez Jr. and companion Karina Quinones, Jessica Vasquez and companion Albert Fernandez and Angelica Prather and husband Jonathan all of Las Cruces; her father Antonio Ortega of Las Cruces; brothers and sisters Tony Ortega Jr., David Alatorre, Robert Ortega and wife Maria, Joe Ortega and wife Debbie, Alicia Ortega, Mary Ortega and Patsy Ortega all of Las Cruces. Estella is also survived by her grandchildren Nicholas, Izaiah, Sean, Elijuh, Zariah, Alana, Jonathan Jr., Asabella and Anthony and also by 5 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosenda Ortega, son John Apolonio Vasquez and brother Salvador Ortega. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 12:10 pm on Friday February 12, 2010 at San Albino Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Catanach officiating. Rite of Committal for her cremains will follow at San Albino Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
